Overview<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to understand today\u2019s issues and problems \u2014 in the West and throughout the world \u2014 it is important to have a firm grasp on the foundations of our global society, to know the history and culture of America, of Europe and of the world.<\/p>\n


\nMission<\/span><\/p>\n

In keeping with the mission statement of Western Connecticut State University, the Department of History and World Perspectives contributes to providing a comprehensive liberal arts education that prepares students for the job market, citizenship, and meaningful lives.<\/p>\n
